Efudex (fluorouracil cream) is a topical cream that is prescribed to treat pre-cancerous and cancerous skin growths. It is specifically used to treat symptoms of Actinic (Solar) Keratoses and Superficial Basal Cell Carcinoma. Efudex cream is considered a chemotherapy agent. It works by blocking the production of abnormal cells that are responsible for causing skin growths.

Important Safety Information & Side Effects:

  • Do not use Efudex if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
  • Use this medication exactly as it is prescribed by your doctor. Efudex comes in the form of a cream or solution that is topically applied. Avoid applying this medication around your eyes, nose, or mouth.
