Is your Veletri medication too expensive?
The average retail price for Veletri costs around $2,000 for a one-month supply, even with a Veletri coupon. Prescription prices may vary depending on your insurance coverage and the pharmacy you visit.
A Veletri coupon or savings card may also be available to many patients. However, even with a Veletri coupon, you may still be paying too much.
Patients can get their Veletri medication through Prescription Hope for the set medication access service fee of $60.00 a month through Prescription Hope’s medication access service . Although Prescription Hope is not a Veletri coupon, individuals looking for a Veletri coupon can save more money through Prescription Hope!
Veletri is also not available at a traditional pharmacy. It is only available at a specialty pharmacy. Prescription hope can still access Veletri for you by going directly to the pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Here’s the Veletri cost comparison chart for a one-month supply.
The four options you have to save money on Veletri
There are four main ways to save money on out-of-pocket costs when it comes to prescription medication.
- Join a healthcare plan with prescription drug coverage (Please make sure the medication you are taking is in the insurance formulary.)
- Prescription drug discount cards
- Coupon cards that are directly for the pharmaceutical manufacturer
- Patient assistance programs, which are also directly from the pharmaceutical manufacturer
Now that we have given you the four main medication savings programs, there are a few hurdles to go over in each of those areas. We will be quick about this…
When you join a health insurance program, you will have high deductibles, copays, and things of that nature.
When you have prescription drug discount cards, the discounts are uneven all across the board.
Coupons sponsored directly from the pharmaceutical manufacturer specifically for brand-name medications are excellent in the short run. For the long term, there is a lot of money still left out of your pocket…
Last are the pharmaceutical manufacturer’s patient assistance programs that give away FREE medication to individuals who qualify, which provides unmatched medication savings for the long term.
The downside to patient assistance programs is that the first shipment of medication takes, on average, 2 to 4 weeks to reach the patient. Also, managing medication orders and refills can be a daunting task, especially with the shipping times.
Do I qualify for Veletri patient assistance programs?
Qualifying for Veletri patient assistance programs is based on household income guidelines. Every patient assistance program uses different criteria for qualification, so we use the information below as general guidelines:
![](https://prescriptionhope.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/patient_assistant_program-1024x1024.png)
- An individual earning up to $50,000 a year may qualify
- Households of 2 individuals with a combined income up to $70,000 a year may qualify
- Guidelines can increase in families making up to $200,000 per year
Prescription Hope suggests that anyone looking to save money on Veletri submit an enrollment form.
Suppose you do not qualify to receive medication through patient assistance programs. In that case, we will never charge a service fee for that medication.
Soon after submitting an enrollment form, we will determine whether you qualify to receive the medications you have requested through patient assistance programs.
Suppose we find a program that will work for you. In that case, we will reach out to you for any additional information needed and reach out to your healthcare provider for the prescription.
Once we receive this information back, we immediately order your medication for you. After that, Prescription Hope works to manage medication orders, refill medications on time throughout the year, maintain up-to-date records, and renew your prescription medication’s enrollment every year.
Once your enrollment form is submitted and you are pre-qualified, the first shipment of prescription medication typically arrives within 2 to 4 weeks. We will then place refills ahead of time so that you receive your medication on a regular schedule.
During the four to six week enrollment period, we recommend that you ask your healthcare provider if they could provide you with Veletri samples while waiting for your first shipment.
Through our program, Americans save thousands every year from the retail cost of their prescription medications through Prescription Hope. To learn more about how Prescription Hope works you can visit our website.

What is Veletri (epoprostenol)?
Veletri is a prescription medication that is used to treat adults with certain kinds of severe pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). PAH is a condition that causes high blood pressure in the blood vessels between the heart and lungs.
Pulmonary arterial hypertension can cause an imbalance of substances. So, your body may not have enough prostacyclin and nitric oxide, and too much endothelin. This imbalance can lead to narrowed blood vessels.
The active ingredient in Veletri, epoprostenol, is used to help dilate the blood vessels, allowing for oxygen-rich blood to flow more easily.
Important safety information
When you take Veletri for the first time, you must be in a hospital or clinic setting. This allows you to be monitored by a healthcare provider for serious side effects. Your blood pressure should also be monitored while any dosage changes are made.
Your healthcare provider may prescribe another medication to help prevent blood clots while being treated with Veletri. The combination of these medications may increase your risk of bleeding.
Sudden changes in your dose may lead to a return of pulmonary hypertension symptoms or severe low blood pressure (hypotension). Never stop using Veletri or change your dose without first consulting your healthcare provider.
Talk to your healthcare provider about how to properly take care of the catheter and infusion pump. Improper care can lead to an increased risk of infection in the bloodstream.
Each vial of Veletri is for single-dose use only. Therefore, discard any unused solution.
Avoid exposing Veletri to direct sunlight.
Dosage and administration
Veletri comes in the form of a vial. The dosage form and strengths include:
- 10 mL with 5 mg (5,000 ng)
- 10 mL with 1.5 mg (1,500,000 ng)
Administer Veletri as follows:
Infusion should be initiated at 2 ng/kg/min and increased in increments of 2 ng/kg/min every 15 minutes or longer until adequate pharmacologic effects are obtained or until a threshold tolerance to the drug is established.
If symptoms of PAH continue, the infusion should be increased by 1- to 2-ng/kg/min increments of at least 15 minutes intervals to allow assessment of clinical response.
This medication is administered by continuous intravenous infusion through a central venous catheter using an ambulatory infusion pump.
