Durezol is a steroid medicine. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation and can be used to treat eye pain and inflammation caused by eye surgery.

Important Safety Information & Side Effects:

  • For treating inflammation and pain caused by ocular surgery, administer one drop 4 times daily starting 24 hours after surgery for the first two weeks. Your doctor may suggest tapering off the dose from there.
  • For treating endogenous anterior uveitis, administer one drop into the affect eye 4 times daily for 14 days. Your doctor may suggest tapering off the dose after that.
  • The drop should be instilled in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye. Tilt your head back when placing the drop in your eye.
  • Patients should wash their hands before handling the medication bottle and avoid letting the eye dropper touch their eye or any contaminated surface to prevent infections.
  • You should not use Durezol if you have glaucoma or an infection that is not being treated.
  • Do not use it if you are allergic to difluprednate or any of the other ingredients.
  • When using Durezol do not let the tip of the dropper touch your eye or any contaminated surface.
